At Viridian we’re raising a cheer for Team GB.
We’re thrilled to support triathlete Gary Bennett from Daventry, in Northamptonshire, our Viridian hometown, in the European and World Championships.
Gary came 11th in the 2025 European Duathlon Championships in Poland recently, where he was one of 500 athletes from across the continent taking part in the event. The duathlon combines running and cycling at the highest level.
Gary is pictured wearing our Viridian sponsored trisuit, in Poland and closer to home, in his local independent Sheaf Street Health Store with Viridian Managing Director Holly Thallon Steenson. Viridian has been helping Gary with his preparation journey for the races.
Gary said: “I’d had an amazing time out in Rumia, in Poland, where I took part in the European Championships for team GB.”
“A fast course and great conditions which was sunny but cold meant for some great racing.”
“I managed to complete the 5K run 20K bike and 2.5k run in 59.47mins which was PB and positioned 11th in Europe which I was delighted with.”
“A few races in May, then onto the World Championships on June 18th-24th in Pontevedra Spain.”
Holly said: “We’re delighted to support and help Gary prepare for these upcoming championships. At Viridian, we strongly believe in taking a holistic approach to health and wellness by making positive diet and nutrition choices and through movement at whatever level, and Gary embodies this.
