Recovering from Long Covid: The Impact of Allergic Reactions

Medical doctor and wellbeing expert Dr Tamsin Lewis shares her personal experience of the symptom in the latest episode of Viridian Talks. The former pro triathlete developed Coronavirus in spring last year.

Dr Tam discusses her recovery journey and explains how to recognise the symptoms associated with allergic reactions after the initial Covid infection, avoiding triggers and self-care strategies.

Here are Dr Tamā€™s insights:

ā€œCoronavirus can trigger in some people this massive release of histamine which is actually designed initially to help flood out and clear the virus.

ā€ ā€œI think it's really important that we invest time. It's really tough because you can't do the things that you previously did and every time you push yourself to do them, you do get set back.ā€

The Viridian Talks series aim to educate, inform and inspire people towards healthier futures and lifestyle choices by sharing discussions with leading health experts.

We can take a pro-active step to managing self-care for ourselves and families by raising awareness of valuable community resources such as Health Food Stores, which promote health and wellness and offer ethical and natural solutions.
