Ethical vitamin company Viridian has been leading clean and effective nutrition for kids for 20 years.
To celebrate the milestone, as a independent family-owned firm we've given our Viridikid children’s supplement range a bright new look which is informative and playful.
Every children’s supplement in the award-winning collection, from Viridikid Multivitamin to Baby Vitamin Drops, has been given a refresh, and its own ‘bunny character’ with the strapline ‘Clean kids’ vitamins to feel good about’.
The cheerful packaging reflects Viridian’s desire to help families hop into good habits while staying true to its core values prioritising effective formulations free from artificial additives and flavourings.
Holly Thallon Steenson, second generation managing director and co-owner, said: “As a family business, we know how important it is to keep your family healthy. It took my mum (founder Cheryl Thallon) a couple of years before Viridian launched our first children’s supplement as many competitor products were full of additives and sugars.
"She wanted to ensure the Viridikid range would be effective, ethical and pure formulations – no gimmicks just good nutrition for children.
“The 20th anniversary of Viridikid is a timely opportunity to celebrate and evolve our children’s range, giving Viridikid its own distinct logo, standout colours and ever-so-cute bunny ears, while ensuring the consistency of our trusted Viridian values.
“We’re always serious about good nutrition and we know that parents are keen to find kids’ vitamins that their children get excited about and want to take.”

Viridikid Baby Vitamin Drops
All Viridian supplements including our children’s formulations are based on clinical studies, using sustainably sourced ingredients and avoiding artificial additives and preservatives. Viridikid Baby Vitamin Drops, a multivitamin for babies from 6 months onwards, is the newest member of the Viridikid family.
In line with the Viridian focus on sustainability, the packaging is recyclable and the materials are ethically sourced.
The story behind Viridikid
For co-owner Holly Thallon Steenson, the Viridikid supplement range has been central to her childhood and growing up.
The second-generation MD has appeared in numerous children’s health campaigns as well as highlighting the importance of wellness and nutrition.
Founder, Cheryl Thallon, explains how Viridikid came about.
“Viridian Nutrition launched in 1999, when my daughter Holly was just four years old. There were few children’s vitamins available at the time and most were full of sugar and artificial additives. The received ‘wisdom’ was that kids wouldn’t take a serious vitamin, they wanted vitamins that tasted like sweets. I wanted something better for Holly.
“As part of Viridian’s commitment to effective, ethical and pure, I was determined to develop a children’s supplement that was 100% clean. We began experimenting with capsule sizes to see if kids were happy to swallow smaller sizes.
"We finally settled on microcapsules and added a separate nutritional oil. We found that most kids were able to consume these daily, especially when it was explained that this is for ‘big boys / girls.

“Holly and her friends and their siblings proved that colourings, flavourings, sugar and sweeteners were not essential, and the supplement didn’t have to be shaped like a bear!
“Parents trusted the simplicity of the formulation – just the right balance of age-appropriate nutrients without any nasties whatsoever.
“We’ve added further supplements to the Viridikid range, won awards and it’s clear that many parents want to seriously support their kids nutritional health, just like I did.”
Holly adds: “I was the poster-child for the company aged 5, and while I was mildly embarrassed at the time, I’m so proud of what Viridian has achieved and honoured that the same photo is featured in the Viridikid campaign today.”
