Viridian founder Cheryl Thallon has been given special recognition for her service to industry by Health Stores Ireland (HSI).
Cheryl, a champion of the natural and organic sector was presented with a wooden plaque at HSI’s annual retailer 2025 awards presentation.
Her dedication to the industry spans over 40 years. The award pays tribute to her unwavering commitment to supporting the health food trade and fellow retailers.
Cheryl said: “I am very privileged to serve the health and wellness industry. The support from the Irish health stores has been phenomenal – we have learnt so much from everyone, we couldn’t ask for more. We should all be very proud in playing our part to a legacy that keeps the country fit and healthy.”
Cheryl ‘fell in love’ with the natural products movement while working in specialist health food stores and became interested in nutrition and food supplements, launching Viridian in 1999.
She is founder of Sheaf Street Health Store, located in her home town of Daventry, in Northamptonshire, and passionate about the role of independent health stores in promoting wellness. Cheryl also sits on number of trade associations and boards to keep abreast of the sector.
